Historic Palestine Map Fundraiser Print for Palestinian Aid

Since 1948 Palestinians have suffered under brutal Israeli occupation and apartheid. As we have witnessed over the past 10 months, they have endured unimaginable suffering at the hands of Israel’s most recent aggression.

The official death toll currently sits at over 40,000 (with medical journal, The Lancet believing the number could be as high as 186,000)

The facts and figures are truly shocking with over 16,000 children killed and thousands orphaned. Gaza is now home to the world’s largest child amputee population on the planet. Palestinians in the north of Gaza have succumbed to eating animal feed and grass to stay alive. Mass displacement is commonplace and entire families have been wiped from the register. Over 100 journalists have been killed. Israel continues to break international law at every turn, yet the powers in the West and elsewhere are doing nothing to stop them despite global protests. It’s easy to feel completely helpless.

So I’ve decided to try and do something to raise funds for Palestinian Aid. As a drawer of maps, I have mapped the topography of Historic Palestine - pre Nakba, pre Zionism, pre Israel - and I’ve put my own spin on it with a colourful edition and a line drawing edition.

Both editions are available in sizes A4 and A3 and 100% of all profits will go direct to Gaza. I plan to donate the funds raised to UNRWA, Operation Olive Branch and The Sameer Project, helping families on the ground.

Each piece begins life as all of my work does, with pen and paper! I use OS maps to map the area of each peak before I hand draw the contours of the mountain or area. I then add the colour digitally with a mix of complimentary shades from my bespoke colour palette. This part can take time to get just right!

Colours on screen may vary to real life, some of the images shown are photographs and others are digital mock ups. I've tried as hard as possible to capture the colours as accurately as possible :) 

A4 & A3 prints are Printed onto recycled paper made from 100% post consumer waste. Woohoo! A huge win for nature and for your conscience! 

Due to the nature of recycled papers, each batch may vary slightly in colour and you may see little flecks throughout the paper. We like to celebrate these tiny imperfections and see them as little flecks of added character 

A2 prints are printed onto an uncoated heavyweight paper.

✖️A4 & A3 prints are shipped flat in a paper & board envelope and are packaged in bio degradable cello bags with a sheet of cardboard for support. No plastic packaging here my dudes! These are processed in 2-3 business days, stock dependant. 

✖️A2 prints are printed to order from my trusted local printer, so please allow 7-9 working days for processing. They are rolled in tissue and shipped in a sturdy cardboard tube. 

✖️Orders are posted out with Royal Mail with the option of Tracked24 or 48 at checkout. Please allow 5 business days for your order to be processed :)
